As Founder and President of C&C Recruiting and Consulting, Inc., Kate Houchens is an innovative recruiting leader that that has been successful in building a quality and sought after recruiting firm in the local market. Prior to starting C&C in 2001, Kate worked in Milwaukee’s professional recruiting community for many years. Her combination of corporate and contract recruiting experience is the foundation of C&C’s core business offerings. Her energy and passion has been pivotal to the success of C&C and their clients.

Kate’s goal when starting C&C Recruiting was to provide a unique and quality talent acquisition experience for both clients and candidates. Today C&C partners with over 40 companies helping them quickly identify, attract, hire and retain the right talent. Kate has earned market recognition as an expert in IT recruiting and consulting best practices with local and international clients. She is an inspirational leader and is well respected by her wide network of candidates and clients. Her energy and passion for recruiting is contagious and a pleasure to work with.

Kate is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a degree in Public Relations. Prior to her career as a Recruiter, she held various positions in hospitality, catering, sales, tourism and advertising. Kate is an active member of the Community and involved with groups such as the Waukesha Area Chamber of Commerce, Top Echelon, Human Resource Management Association and Wisconsin Professional Recruiter Resource. She is also an Advisory Partner with Foundations Bank and is an active member of various IT user groups in the area.

Jodi Hotz - Recruiting Consultant

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Jodi Hotz has been a key contributor to the success of C&C Recruiting and Consulting Inc. Prior to Recruiting, Jodi spent over 15 years in a client facing role in the telecommunications industry; marketing, information technology, communications and training. Jodi’s primarily focus over the years has been personal and professional development, communications and training.

As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Jodi earned a degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Sociology. Like many recruiters, the path that lead Jodi into recruiting was one of chance and some could say her destiny. Jodi has been recognized by candidates and clients alike for her focus and dedication to each. Jodi delivers results thru integrity, perseverance and vision. She is always working to increase her knowledge of the industry educating others along the way.

Jodi’s humanitarian approach to recruiting is a direct result of her great ability to connect with people. Jodi believes the key to being a successful recruiter is treating people with respect and dignity. She believes that recruiting just isn't about numbers, it is about building relationships, and that successful relationships in turn will result in a successful business and long term partnerships. Since most times first impressions are not forgotten; she makes sure her impressions are professional yet positive and fun! She makes an effort to wake up each day remembering that she has a chance to affect someone in a positive way. Kristen Kunkler - Chang - Recruiting Consultant

Passionate and dedicated to quality, Kristen has over a decade of recruiting and human resource experience in multiple industries, including healthcare, Information Technology and service utilties. She has thrived in high volume recruitment environments and successfully built effective recruiting processes and strategies, always focusing on best practice and process improvement.
 
Kristen is well versed in developing effective sourcing strategies, behavioral based interviewing practices and creative candidate marketing campaigns. She has developed and managed national college recruiting programs and served on the Employer Advisory Board for Marquette University’s Career Services Department. Kristen has also developed and facilitated corporate training initatives on topics like behavioral based interviewing and customer service.

An AIRS Certified Internet and Diversity Recruiter, Kristen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a degree in Communication. Kristen is well networked and has been actively involved with many professional organizations such as Human Resource Management Association, Wisconsin Professional Recruiter Resource, and the Employers Best Practice Network. 
 
Recruiting and Human Resources came naturally to her because of her friendly and engaging personality. Kristen has a knack for building quality client and candidate relationships through building trust and credibility. Strong follow through and effective communication are key to Kristen’s success.
